IMPETUOUS EX-KAISER
REGRETS ABOUT A LETTER “WILHELM THE GREAT’ (Australian and, N.Z. Press Assocxation) BERLIN - , Thursday. The Socialist newspaper “Bremen” vouches for the accuracy of the exKaiser’s “curious attempt from Doom to influence events in Germany.” Herr Heineken, managing director of the Nord Deutscher Dloyd, and formerly closely associated with the Kaiser, sent him the description of the launchings of the two latest liners, named Europe and Bremen. The ex-Kaiser, instead of sending congratulations, immediately posted a sharp reprimand for not christening them Frederick the Great and Wilhelm the Great. Evidently the missive was one of the ex-Kaiser’s notorious impetuosities. Next day he sent off a courier to try to intercept it before delivery, but he arrived half a day late. The only result of the courier’s journey was to emphasise his master’s indiscretion.
