GOD SAVE THE KING

Sir, — “Observer’s” sentiments, in a letter published last evening in The Sun, were commendable; but his facts were not correct, or, at least, he was too sweeping. I quite agree that at a time when the whole Empire is praying that the King will recover from his illness, the National Anthem should be played before performances, so that theatre-goers may receive it with full reverence. But, sir, I have been, in this week just past, to two of the leading picture theatres in Queen Street. In both, the National Anthem was played before the performance. Your correspondent should make sure of his facts before registering a general complaint. NOTARY PUBLIC.
