On the market benches, green peas are realising 3s to 4s 6d a bag; French beans. 5d to 7d a lb; lettuces, 2s to 5s a case; new potatoes, 5s to 7s a bag; cucumbers, 1s 6d to 6s a dozen; vegetable marrows, 2s to 6s a dozen; pumpkins, 1s to 3s each; asparagus, 5d to 9d a bundle; leeks, 3d to 4d a bundle; radish, 3d to 6d a dozen bundles; spinach, 6d to 9d a dozen bunches; cabbages. 1s to 3s a dozen; cauliflowers, 1s to 5s a dozen; and carrots, beet, parsnips, and turnips. 8d to 1s 2d a dozen bundles.
