PAPAKURA ORPHANS
(From Our Own Correspondent) PAPAKURA. To-day. The Papakura Orphan Club held its annua] meeting last evening The president, Bro. V. K. Francis, pre. sided over an attendance of 40. The secretary, Bro. S. L. Anderson, reported a most successful session,' During last season 61 new members were added, bringing the total up to 143. Two old and respected members had died. Bro. James Drummond, lift, member of the club, and past-president of the Auckland Orphans’ Club, and Bro. Duncan McLennan. Visits had been paid to the Auckland, Onehunga Otahuhu, Tamaki, Pukekohe, Hamil-’ ton, Devpnport, Takapuna. Birkenhead and Xorthcote, and these visits were all returned. The treasurer, vice-president, Bro. G. C. Hobson, declared a credit bah ance of £39 Is sd. , Past-President Bro. W. C. Wood was made a life member in recognition of his valued services to the club. The following officers were elected: President, Bro. W. K. Francis; vice: presidents, Bros. S. D. Rice. G C. Hobson, G. Frost, J. Murray, G. B. Page and E. C. Foote; committee, Bros. W. Elliott, B. Johnson and G. Wilson; conductor, Bro. P. Hardman; treasurer, Bro. G. C. Hobson: secretary, Bro. s! L. Anderson: auditor. Bro. S. D. Rice:' programme steward, Bro. S. L. Anderson.
