THE REV. A. THORNHILL’S DEPARTURE NINE YEARS’ WORK IN N.Z. On December 28 the Rev. Albert Thornhill, of the Auckland Unitarian Church, will leave New Zealand for Sydney* to take up the ministry of the Hyde Park Unitarian Church. Mr. Thornhill has been working in Auckland for nearly nine years and before leaving New Zealand he intends to tour the Auckland Province to say farewell to other Unitarians in the district. For many years before he came' out here Mr. Thornhill was in charge of one of the largest Unitarian Churches in England, Brookfields Church at Manchester, and he received an honorary degree in theology at Oxford. Next Sunday farewell services will be held in his church both in the morning and in the evening and the morning service will be broadcast. On Wednesday evening a meeting of the members of the church will take place to say good-bye to him. The foundation minister of the church, the Rev. W. Jellie, who is now in retirement, will take Mr. Thornhill’s place until a new minister is found.
