DEGREES OF DAMAGE
(From Our Ovyn Correspondent) HAMILTON, Wednesday. TN a case at the Supreme Court this week counsel was expressing ignorance of different degrees of damage with reference to injury alleged to have been caused wilfully and continuously. Mr. Justice Blair (to counsel): Well, if a man shied a brick at counsel for the defence, and the brick missed him and hit you instead. and smashed your nose, you would be entitled to a smaller measure of damages than if the man had deliberately aimed the brick at you and smashed your nose. (Laughter.)
