THE TAKAPUNA PLATE The scratcliings of Red Lion, Palonares, Welcome Home, Mussie, Double Alint and Lucklaine for the Takapuna Plate, has reduced the field for this “hack classic,” to be run at Takapuna on Friday, to 24, which is the actual safety number for the seven-furlong barrier. Thus a division has been avoided.
