CAPITOL AND EMPIRE
“RAMONA’ "What is recognised as one of the most beautiful photoplays ever made, "Ramona,” is the big attraction at the Capitol and Empire Theatres this evening. Dolores Del Rio is the star, and is supported by Warner Baxter and Roland Drew. It is a heart-stirring photoplay that makes one the victim of conflicting emotions. Tender pity, fierce resentment, outraged justice battle within as each member of the audience lives the tragic romance of the little halfbreed girl whose hours of love and “Paradise” pass so shortly. It is one comes more potent and intimate that tugs at the heart-strings, and bethrough the delicate artistry of Dolores Del Rio, who paints the character of “Ramona” in a way which outdoes any other dramatic effort of the year. At the Capitol Theatre the second attraction this evening will be “Three Ring Marriage,” an unusual type of circus story, featuring Mary Astor and Lloyd Hughes. At the Empire Theatre, the second attraction wiU be “The Shield of Honour,” depicting the every-day adventures of an American policemaiT. Xeil Hamilton has that role.
