CELEBRATION AT ONEHUNGA Mrs. Isabella Hutchison, and the Rev. George Brown, M.A.. two Onehunga pioneers, who celebrated their birthdays yesterday, received congratulations from a large number of visitors. Mrs. Hutchison is 84, and was the first European born in Onehunga. The Rev. George Brown is 98, and has lived in Onehunga for the past 68 years. Mrs. Hutchison attended divine service in the morning, as is her custom, but before leaving for church she was presented with an exquisite bouquet by Miss M. Robb, on behalf of the Onehunga Ladies’ Benevolent Association, of which she has been an active member ever since its foundation 63 years ago. The Rev. T. H. Roseveare and the Rev. D. D. Scott, moderator and clerk respectively of the Auckland Presbytery, extended their congratulations to Mr. Brown, who is the oldest Presbyterian minister in the Dominion.
