Forsyth, M.P., candidate for the Wellington East seat, in the course of an election address quoted from files of the “Evening Post” to show that although Mr. R. Semple was not in New Zealand when the Waihi strike began, he arrived within 14 days and addressed meetings in New Zealand urging the strikers to stand firm.
