WILD RIOTS AT ESSEN
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 10.50 a.m. BERLIN, Sunday. Crowds of locked-out steel workers, led by Communists, stormed the Town Hall during a sitting of the Essen Municipality. The police twice dispersed the demonstrators, who again charged with increased violence. The police had to use their truncheons and swords. Many rioters were wounded.
