Steamer Ashore on China Coast
DESTROYER TO THE RESCUE (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and K.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11.10 a.m. SHANGHAI, Monday. The British destroyer Bruce is believed to have been responsible for saving the passengers ancl crew of the British coaster Kivangse, of the Butterfield, Swire Steamship Company, which struck a submerged rock in the vicinity of Amoy in a gale yesterday. The Kwangse is a vessel of 2.000 tons. It- is believed she cannot be salvage'’.
