The monthly meeting .of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce was held on Monday evening. The Tourist Standing Committee reported that all arrangements for the expected tourist traffic had been finalised. An accommodation registry is to be compiled. A schedule of “sight trips,” fishing upicnics, harbour excursions and surf-bathing, and a tariff of charges has been drawn up and approved by the chamber. The Borough Council has been asked to make large improvements to the camping sites, and it is expected that these will become of the best in the North Island. A resolution favouring the objects of the Auckland Daylight Saving League was carried.
