ORANGE BLOSSOMS
STEWART—KELLY * St. Stephen’s Church, Opotiki, was the ficene of a very pretty choral wed--1 ding on Wednesday, when Moyra Clare, third daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. : E. H. Kelly, of “Waitangi,” Opotiki, was married to Lyall Douglas, youngest : son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Stewart, of Te Kuiti. - The church had been beautifully . decorated by girl friends of the bride. There was an exceptionally large numi ber present at the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. J. E. Draper, i vicar of St. Stephen’s parish. The choir of which the bride had been a member for many years, preceded the - bridal party, singing an appropriate hymn. j The bride entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr. G. E. Leggett, : who gave her away. She looked very y charming in a frock of ivory satin, relieved only with touches of silver and her beautiful shower bouquet was of . sweet peas, daisies and asparagus. A simple wreath of orange blossoms formed her head-dress, from which her beautiful veil fell as a graceful train. Miss Joy Kelly, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, her charming frock of daffodil hatienne, with caps and hem-line favouring the graceful uneven vogue, lending a delightful touch of spring colouring. She carried a sheaf of daffodils and violets. Mr. Innes Kelly attended the bridegroom as best man. Mrs. Kelly, mother of the bride, was charmingly frocked in black crepe de chine, with pastel-shaded hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of violets and fresias. Mrs. H. Stewart wore a coat frock of black marocain and hat to match. Mrs. P. G. Kelly wore a smart threepiece costume of fuchsia repp. Miss Gwen Stewart was in a tailored costume, with felt hat. After the ceremony the guests drove to the residence of the bride’s mother, where a dainty wedding breakfast had been prepared. The tables were prettily decorated with daffodils, violets and asparagus fern. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart later left for Te Kuiti' and Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride travelled in a smart tailored costume, with hat and scarf to match. ;
