NEW APPOINTMENTS MADE British Official Wireless. RUGBY, Thursday. The King has approved the following appointments of Colonial Gover-nors:—Brigadier-General Sir Frederick Guggisberg, formerly Governor of the Gold Coast, to be Governor of British Guiana, in succession to Sir Cecil Rodwell, whose appointment as Governor of Southern Rhodesia has been approved. Sir Edward Brandis Denham, Colonial Secretary, Kenya Colony, to he Governor of Gambia, in succession to Sir John Middleton, whose appointment as Governor of Newfoundland was announced in June.
