The New South Wale 9 Government has decided to amend the Advances lor Homes Act, whereby the Government Savings Bank will help the people to build their own homes. The provisions of the Act have been liberalised, and borrowers will now be able to obtain loans of up to £I,OOO. instead of £7soj in addition to securing up to 90 per cent, of the value of the securitv. The loans will be restricted to applicants with incomes of up to £ 500 a year.
