MASTERTON HARRIERS’ CLUB Press Association. MASTERTON, Saturday. The Masterton Harriers’ Club held a race for the five-mile club championship this afternoon, the result being: L. Hack, time 30m 32 s. 1; A. Keats, 31m 325, 2: R. Campbell, 31m 335, 3: W. Pointon, 31m 575, 4; S. Carr, 32m, 5. R. A. Rose, 29m 30s, finished first, but was disqualified for not finishing on the proper course. The sealed handicap in connection with the championship was won by C. Anderson, with J. Costello second, T. Lowis third and A. Keats, W. Pointon and L. Hack a dead-heat for fourth. The following are the teams to represent Masterton at the Wellington provincail championships at Masterton next Saturday:—A team: R. A. Rose, U. Hack, R. Campbell, A. Keats (captain), S. Carr, W. Pointon. Reserve, C. Anderson. B team: C. Anderson, T. Lowis, C. Campbell, V. Stewart, S. Spicer (captain), A. S. Carter. Reserves, H. Henderson and C. Ross.
