TIMARU MAN FINED £5 Press Association. TIMARU, To-day. At the Police Court, before Justices, Raymond Irvine was charged with conducting a game of chance, to wit, a cross-word competition, contrary to Section 41 of the Gaming Act, 1908.
Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined £5 and costs. On a second count he was convicted and discharged.
