THEATRE MANAGER’S THEFT Press Association. PALMERSTON N., To-day. Enoch Flintoff, formerly the manager of the De Luxe Theatre, was charged before Mr. Stout, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court this morning with the theft of £lO 18s, the property of Frederick Jackson, managing director of several theatre enterprises. Accused pleaded guilty and elected to be dealt with summarily. In a statement to the police, accused said he had received the sum and given a receipt but made no record of money in his books. He expressed his willingness to make restitution. Taking into consideration the fact that nothing was known against the accused previously, the Magistrate admitted him to probation for two years on the condition that he repaid the money in three months. The suppression of his name was refused.
