CHRISTCHURCH RESIDENTS OPPOSE COUNCIL CATHEDRAL SQUARE ROW Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. At meetings of protest yesterday over 700 citizens passed motions pledging themselves to take all the necessary steps to resist and prevent the erection of conveniences and rest-room* 1 in the centre of Cathedral Square, as proposed by tjie City Council. Among the speakers was Archbishop Julius, who said: “If they allow this thing to come, I*ll go home and finish my days in London.”
