HAURAKI SEAT

UNITED PARTY CANDIDATE MR. E. ALLAN’S RECORD Mr. Ebenezer Allan, of Buckland, who has been chosen as the United Party’s candidate for the Hauraki seat, is a well-known seed-grower and seedsman. He received his early training in Scotland, but has been a New Zealand resident for many years. For 14 years he was engaged in seedgrowing at Mangere and Papatoetoe. Interested in public affairs, he was chairman of the Manakau conference which did good work in the interests of the local bodies, and culminated in the foundation of the Manakau and Franklin County Councils. Mr. Allan is president of tho Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and also of the Buckland Bowling Club. He is a lay preacher in the Presbyterian Church, and a man with keen interest in Bible Class work.
