LONDON MEAT MARKET
The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable from its London office,'* dated July 7:— Frozen meat.—There is a little better demand for wether mutton. The market for ewes is steady. The demand for lighter-weight lambs is good. The beef market is more active owing to shorter supplies from the Argentine. Wethers, light, 63d to 7§d a lb, heavy 53d to 63d. Ewes, 5d to 53d; lambs, twos, 93d to 10? t d; eights, 9ld to 93d; fours, 9? t d to 9Ad: seconds, 9?.d to lOd; ox hinds, 5Jd to 6d, fores, 3|d to 4d; cow hinds, sid to sijd, fores, 31d to 3|d. ,
