SALVATIONIST CHANGES
OFFICERS FROM AUSTRALIA (Special to TH3 SUN) WELLINGTON, Friday. A large assembly at the Salvation Army citadel welcomed a number of Salvation Army officers who have been transferred from Australia to New Zealand, and said good-bye to others who have been transferred from New Zealand to Australia. The chief officers transferring to Australia are Brigadier and Mrs. Wallace, from the Christchurch force to the Newcastle division; Major and Mrs. Haines, from the Christchurch social work to the Bendigo (Victoria) division; Staff-Captain and Mrs. Perry, from the young people’s work in Manawatu to similar work in Sydney; Field-Major Woodford, who for many years has been engaged in social work in Wellington, for similar work in Melbourne. Commandant Baker, who has done fine work in connection with th© Army’s children’s homes in the Dominion, has been transferred to similar work in Sydney. The following officers have come
from Australia:—Major and Mrs. Gray for young people’s work at Manawatu; Staff-Captain and Mrs. Dry, for social work at Christchurch; Adjutant and Mrs. Gardiner, for the work in Napier. Commandant Weeding will take up rescue work in Wellington.
