Mr. Edward Fryer and his wife were returning - from .Opotiki to Gisborne yesterday, when the car went over a bank on the Meremere Hill, on the Opotiki-Motu Road. The car fell' a distance of 40 feet and was badly" damaged. Mr. Fryer was not seriously injured, and his wife suffered, from bruises and shock.
