ARAWA ARRIVES
GOOD VOYAGE FROM HOME The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s liner Arawa arrived from Liverpool this morning after a good voyage. She carried 78 saloon passengers and 165 third class. Included among them were eight girls who will go to Flock House, Palmerston North, and 26 domestics. Christmas and New Year were spent at sea and dances and concerts were arranged for the passengers. Only a few days of rough weather were experienced. When the vessel entered the Panama Canal slight engine trouble developed, but this enabled the passengers to go ashore at Balboa on New Year’s Eve and attend the holiday celebrations there.
