CHRISTMAS HOLI DAYS. —The Union Companv advises that their office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday next. December 26 and 27, for their Christmas holidays. KUROW FOR NEWCASTLE. —At 10 o’clock this evening the Union Company hopes to dispatch the collier Kurow from Auckland for Newcastle. where she loads again for probably Auckland. TOFU A FOR AUCKLAND. —The Union Company advises that the Island passenger steamer Tofua leaves Suva at 4 p.m. to-morrow for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday next. KIA ORA REPORTED. —The Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Kia Ora, which left Auckland November 16 for Halifax. London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, is reported to have cleared Norfolk, Virginia, last Sunday. CORINTHIC AT PANAMA. —The Shaw. Savill and Albion liner Corinthic, en route from New Zealand to Southampton and London, is reported to have reached Panama last Sunday. She was dispatched from Wellington on November 27. LAMB STEAMER OMANA. —After unloading coal and poles at Tauranga, Gisborne and Napier, the Lamb steamer Omana will return to Auckland on Saturday to complete discharge and also to load for Australia. She is to leave Napier for Auckland to-morrow morning. RUAPEHU LEAVES PANAMA.—CabIe advice received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the liner Ruapehu arrived at Panama and sailed from Colon on December 18 for London. The Ruapehu loaded in New Zealand and sailed from Auckland on November 25. CYDONIA REPORTED.—The steamer Cvdonia is reported to have reached Colon last Sunday, en route from Montreal to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin, Sydney and Melbourne. The vessel is running under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company, ami is due at Auckland about the middle of January.

SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Maunganui leaves Auckland at 3 p.m. to-mor-row and the Marama sails from Wellington at the same time for Sydney. The Ulimaroa leaves Sydney at noon to-mor-row for Auckland. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday.

W AIPAHI’S MOVEMENTS. — The local office of the Union Company have been advised that the Island fruit steamer Waipahi leaves Dunedin to-day, Lyttelton on Saturday, and Wellington on Sunday for Napier and Auckland. She is due here on Thursday next and sails the following day for Suva, where she loads on January 5 for Auckland. PASSAT ON DECEMBER 30.—According to advice received this morning by the local agents, Messrs. Robert Millar and Company, the German steamer Passat is expected to leave Melbourne to-day en route from Galveston, Texas, via South Africa and Australia to Auckland. The vessel will arrive here on December 30. lONIC TO COMPLETE. —Leaving Wellington at 5 o’clock afternoon for Auckland, A. S. Paterson and Company advises that the "White Star liner lonic* is due at Auckland about noon on Saturday to complete her loading for Home. The liner is now scheduled to sail finally from this port at 6 on Saturday, December 31, for Southampton and London, via Panama. MELBOURNE PASSENGER SERVICE.—The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka is to leave Bluff for Melbourne to-day. The company advises the vessel is scheduled to clear Melbourne on December 29 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on January 6. and next day she is to be dispatched for Melbourne direct. NILE REPORTED AT COLON.—The steamer Nile is reported to have reached Colon last Sunday, en route from Galveston, Texas, to Auckland. The vessel is bringing a cargo of sulphur, of which 4,250 tons will be unloaded at Auckland and the remainder at Southern ports. She is due at Auckland about January 14. Messrs. R. Millar and Company are the local agents. THE TAMAROA.—L. D. Nathan and Co., Ltd., advises that the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tamaroa is to leave Wellington to-day, and is due at Auckland on Saturday to complete unloading general merchandise from London. Afterwards the vessel will load at Wellington and Napier and then return to Auckland to fill up. With passengers and mail she is to be dispatched finally from Auckland for Southampton and London on January 21.

HUNTINGDON FROM LIVERPOOL— From West of United Kingdom ports, the Federal Steam Navigation Company’s steamer Huntingdon arrived in the stream at Auckland shortly after seven o’clock last evening, and berthed at Queen’s Wharf this morning to commence discharge. The vessel, which brought a cargo of general merchandise, consisting mainly of motor-cars and motor accessories, loaded at Glasgow and Liverpool and sailed finally from the last-named port on November 12. She experienced a fine uneventful trip across, arriving at Colon on November 28 and clearing Balboa the next day. The Huntingdon brought two thoroughbred champion Clydesdale horses from Glasgow for Mr. Grant, of Christchurch. The horses arrived in good condition.

Captain F. Ashworth is in command of the Huntingdon, and associated with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. H. E. Reilly; second, Mr. C. J. Brewer; extra second, Mr. H. G. Letts; third, Mr. H. F. Wilkinson; wireless operator, Mr. A. R. Mugridge; chief engineer, Mr. D. Graham j second, Mr. T. Spence; third, Mr. R. .T. Armour; fourth, Mr. W. P. Jones; fifth. Mr. .T. E. James; sixth, Mr. D. Macaskill; seventh, Mr. C. W. French; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. J. H. Long; second, Mr. W. H. Williams. The local agent, the New Zealand Shipping Company, advises that the Huntingdon is to be dispatched next Wednesday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers to complete discharge. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—ARRIVALS YESTERDAY. ISABELLA DE FRAINE (8.30 a.m.), 110 tons, Texiera, from Hokianga. DEPARTURES YESTERDAY. NGAPUHI (4.30 p.m.), 703 tons, Bark, for New Plymouth. ISABELLA DE FRAINE (9 p.m.), 110 tons, Texiera, for Hokianga. The Ngapuhi sailed last night for New Plymouth. She is due back again at 7 o’clock to-morrow morning. The Hauturu is due at 6 a.m. to-morrow from Raglan, Kawhia and Port Waikato. She is scheduled to sail again at 3 p.m. the same day for Hokianga.
