JOINT COMMITTEE’S WORK Owing to the Government’s winter restriction on immigration, the duties of the Boat Committee, a sub-section of the Joint Immigration Reception Committee, have not been arduous of recent months. Three ships had been met recently. A meeting of the committee was held yesterday at the Y.W.C.A. rooms. Mrs. Milne Hcvey presided. Representatives of the Y oung Women’s Christian Association, Women’s Christian Temperance Union, Girls’ Friendly Soicety, Salvation Army, British Isles Association, Girl Guides and ex-Service "Women’s Association ,-were present.
