HUTT TRACK UNDER WATER

The bad weather experienced in Auckland during the past few days has evidently been fairly general throughout New Zealand and trotting enthusiasts in other parts have had a taste of the inconveniences to which Auckland owners and trainers are subjected. For a few days the track at Addington has not been fit for work, and private advice received from Wellington this week states that the track at the Hutt was under water. This, however, was not seriously troubling trainers in that locality, as the message further stated that horses being prepared in the Wellington district were working on the beach which was in capital order for training operations. Auckland has not even got a beach that will act as a substitute when the tracks are out of commission.
