LAST NIGHT’S CONTESTS The Training College boxing championships were held at Matt. Hatton’s gymnasium in the Y.M.C.A. last night. Mr. G. R. Watson * acted as referee, and Mr. D. M. Rae as timekeeper. Following are the results: Bantam-weight.—P. H. D. Smith, unopposed. Feather-weight.—P. 11. D. Smith fSst), beat C. H. Ludgate (9st). .Light-weight.—Semi-finals: A. Dobson (lOst) beat R. Macey (9st 131 b): .T. Bracewell (lOst) beat J. Kelly (lOst), Final: Dobson won by default. Welter-weight.—R. T. Henderson (lOst 31b) beat I. Hall (lOst Sib). Middle-weight.—C. F. Ray, unopposed. Heavy-weight.—Semi-finals: Meiklejolin (12st 21b) beat Morton (12st 31b); Frear (13st) beat Foote (12st Sib). Final: Frear won by default.
