OLYMPIC GAMES

PROGRAMME OUTLINED WELLINGTON, To-day. The New Zealand Olympic Games Association has received notification of the dates on which the various events are to take place at the Olympic Games, to be held in Amsterdam in 1928. The dates are:—Hockey from May 17 to 26; Soccer, from May 27 to June 15; weight-lifting, July 28 and 29; athletic, July 29 to August 4 and 6; fencing, July 29 to August 11; wrestling, July 30 to August 5; pentathlon, July 31 to August 4; yachting, August 2 to August 9; rowing, August 5 to August 10; cycling, August 3 and 5; swimming, August 4 to August 11; boxing, August 7 to August 11; gymnastics, August S to 10: equestrian sports. August 9 to 12; demonstration of korfbal and lacrosse, August 7. On the recommendation of Dr. A. E. Porritt, representative in England of the New Zealand Olympic Games Association, Mr. F. Rous Marten has been appointed official attache to the New Zealand representatives at the Games.
