FILM CENSOR

20 STILL IN RUNNING DECISION SHORTLY (.THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter .) WELLINGTON, To-day. Applications for the position of film censor have been narrowed down to about a score, and it is likely that the appointment will be considered within the next few days. Hitherto pressure of Government business has been so great that the department has been unable to deal with the matter. Recent Cabinet meetings, however, have been preparing legislation with which to occupy the House when the Ad-dress-in-Reply debate is through, and applications are understood to be early on the list for consideration. The debate will probably finish on Tuesday night. The present acting censor, Mr. Tanner, is understood to be among the final bunch.
