At a meeting of creditors of Herbert Kirk McDougall, a Christchurch solicitor, bankrupt said that he owed £9Ol to unsecured and £1,082 to se cured creditors, against which there were securities valued at £1,682. McDougall said that unfortunately the farming community, with which he was principally associated, had struck had times, and many of his best clients, through financial reverses. were unable to give him the volume of business he had hitherto enjoyed. It was decided that the estate be left in the hands of the official assignee to wind up in the best way possible, and to consult the Crown solicitor where necessary.
