MAN SCALDED ACCIDENTS TO-DAY An elderly woman, named Mrs. Ellen Carter, of 25 Station Road, Avondale, was admitted to the hospital this morning suffering from a compound fracture, and other injuries, believed to have resulted from being knocked down by a motor-car. A porter named Robert White, married, residing at 38 Picton Street, Ponsonby, was admitted to the hospital this afternoon suffering from scalds on the left leg, resulting from a mishap when he was dealing with foot-warmers at the Railway Station this morning.
