LIQUOR-SELLING CHARGES TRIAL BY JURY Press Association TAUMARUNUI, To-day. In the Police Court William James Blackman was charged with keeping liquor for sale in a no-licence area. Mr. A. E. Seaton, who appeared for the accused, elected that the case go before a jury, and after the evidence of some ten witnesses was taken the accused was committed to the Hamilton sitting of the Supreme Court on June 9 for trial. Bail was allowed of £IOO, with two sureties of £SO.

David Finlay, a carrier, charged with aiding Blackman in the commission of the offence, was fined £5 Is and costs £l4 10s Sd. Security for appeal was fixed at £ls 15s.
