DUKE OF YORK’S REQUEST EXTRA HOLIDAY FOR SCHOOLS Press Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Governor-General has received the following cablegram from the Duke of Y ork: “The Duchess and I hope very much that every school in New Zealand may be given an extra holiday at Easter to commemorate our visit.” His Excellency has replied to the fojjowing effect; “Your Royal Highness’ kind thought for the children is deeply appreciated by the Government and people of New Zealand. The Government is communicating with the Boards of Education and other controlling authorities with a view* to giving effect to Your Royal Highness’ wishes.”
