CONFISCATED LANDS
A number of grievances concerning confiscation of North Auckland properties at the conclusion of the Maori wars will shortly be dealt with by the special Native Land Commission The members of the commission, Mr. Justice Sim (chairman), the Hon. V. H. Reed, M.L.C.»#and Mr. W. Coope, native Associate, proceed north in the course of a few days. Petitions have already been dealt with in the New Plymouth, Rotorua, Opotiki. Tauranga, and Whakatane districts. and the complete report of the commission is to be presented to the Government not later than June 30.
