The 300 miners for whom hope was almost abandoned after a terrific explosion in a mine belonging to the Pennsylvania Coal and Coke Company, have escaped uninjured. There were joyous scenes at the pit mouth when the anxious and distressed women and children saw the men emerge from the undamaged shaft. Four men lost their lives.—Sun.
