CROWDED STANDS
TAXI-OWNERS COMPLAIN Representing the Auckland Taxiowners’ Association, Mr. A. W. Gracie waited upon the City Council last evening in regard to the flooding of their taxi stands by cars belonging to a certain taxi service. Mr. Gracie stated that although this service had stands allotted to it exclusively in various parts of the city the cars belonging to that service monopolised their rank, on some occasions nine of their cars monopolising an eight-car stand. It was resolved that the complaint be referred to the finance committee.
