“TAKE IT AWAY!”
RADIO SET ON APPRO. FAILED TO OBTAIN LICENCE “Take it awav; it fairly deafens me; I don’t like it!” were remarks alleged to have been said by John McSweeney to a radio dealer when a radio set had been left at his place for demonstration purposes. McSweeney was charged at the Police Court this morning with failing to obtain a licence for a plant established at the Exchange Hotel, at Parnell, which, in the mind of the inspector, was capable of receiving wireless signals. At the renuest of accused to remove the plant, the dealer was about to do so when he was called out of town, and left the matter until he returned. In the meantime the inspector made an appearance.
The ma*-*-' ‘ - Mr. Hunt, said that it was evident that the regulations regarding licences will have to be recast. for it was usual that buyers would want a trv-out with a set before they either nurchased the machine or obtained a licence. The case was dismissed.
