WOMAN MOTORIST FINED Mrs. AI. M. de Salis, the wife of the C:i Pt.ain of H.M.S. Veronica, who only arrived in New Zealand recently from England, learned something of Auck*and traffic laws to-day. On Janu;iry 18 she drove her car—a closed one—over the railway crossing at breakwater Road, apparently with- ? U J faking any notice of the warning bells.

Thomas, whose £ase was described as “a particularly bad one,” was fined twice that amount.
