Our ideas of Hassin;* events will be found in our local or editorial columns. TO THE EDITOR OF THE SAMOA TIMES. Sin,—l trust you will afford me spaco for a short reply to the letter of the Rev. Dr. G. A. Turner in your last issue. Any person who writes letters to Editors, couched in contradictory and enigmatical terms must expect to Ihj corrected, and thank those who afterwards do so. lam content to take all the" rubs," as my object is gained, and I sincerely thank the Rev. Dr. G. A. Turner for the prompt, courteous, and gentlemanly manner in which ho has vouchsafed to me—humble as I am—such an explicit statement, and which must dispel the donbts in the minds of those Foreigners who have brooded over an Imaginary grievance for some ywtrs without making any enquiries, and in which I have personally no Interest whatever. I have, during my residence on this island always "stood Iwhinil those who could not, or would not stand behind themselves " —(another little enigma.) Again thanking the Rev. Dr. G. A.
