Restoration Of Franco-Polish Alliance.

Restoration of the Franco-Polish alliance is believed to be the underlying objective of the brief visit to Paris of General Rydzsmigly, Inspector-General of the Polish Army, who interviewed M. Leon Blum, Prime Minister, and M. Delbos.
Well-informed circles state General Rydzsmigly gave France important assurances foreshadowing an important The newspaper Midi says: “Poland is change in Poland’s foreign policy, ve .j disturbed by German rearmament and is ready to seek new military guarantees from France. We must do everything possible to see that General Rydzsmigly returns to Warsaw with a feeling of success,”
General Rydzsmigly left for Rheims to watch the French army manoeuvres. General Rydzsmigly is discussing a French loan of £48,000,000 to finance Polish rearmament, says the correspondent of the News Chronicle at Paris. Eighty per cent, of the loan can be spent on armament contracts with France and the remainder devoted to the construction of armament factories. It is understood France is listening sympathetically, for refusal of the request would involve the risk of throwing Poland into the arms of Germany.
