Market Firm For Sydney Wool Sales.
Press Association—Copyright, Sydney, Sept 1. A total of 8205 bales were offered at the wool sales, 6656 were sold at the sales and 2347 were sold privately. The market was firm at the opening day’s levels for the best descriptions but average to inferior were irregular. Yorkshire and Germany were again the principal buyers and there was good support from France. The Japanese did not operate. Greasy Merino made up to 19|d.
