MATCH WITH TARANAKI
j Extension Of Wallabies' Tour Probable.. APPLICATION MADE. There is evei-y likelihood of a representative match between the touring Australian Rugby Union team and Taranaki if an application, for a week's extension of the tour cabled the Australian authorities is approved. The omission of Taranaki from the programme of; the visiting Jteam, which has fully maintained the highly spectacular football of Australian tradition, has been keenly felt by provincial supporters, and if the altered programme includes a game it will be warmly hailed.
Under the present programme the Wallabies will play their last Dominion game at Palraer3ton North on September 23 and leave Wellington the next day on their'ft I urn. If their departure is postponed-a week it is hoped to include a T|||inaki match on the northern to play at Auckland. ',
