Woman Awakes To Find Intruder In House.
Press Association —CopyrightAuckland, Aug. 29. Having retired early with her young daughter in the absence of her husband at business. Mrs. A. J. Nolan, of Onslow Road, Mount Albert, was awakened about 8.15 o'clock by the sound of a cough and on investigating saw outlined a man in a darkened passage. The intrude dashed past, jostling Mrs. Nolan and knocking her to the floor, causing a lump on her forehead and shock. Neighbours made a fruitless search for the man. Mrs. Nolan's, parents have been visiting her and left in a motor-car about 7 o'clock and it is thought that the man, who was watching the house, had concluded that the occupants were away. Nothing is missing. At Hamilton some years ago Mrs. Nolan awoke to find an intruder in her bedroom.
