New Plymouth Woman Charged With Theft.

Press Association —Copyright. New Plymouth, To-day. The reported burglary at Westown yesterday was followed in the late afternoon by the arrest of a married woman, aged about 42, who appeared beforo a Justice of the Peace this morning charged with breaking and entering the house and with the theft of a gold watch, bedclothes, crockery and other articles" to the total valwe of £5. The police intimated that there wer'e other charges pending. Bail was not asked for and accused was remanded till July 1, the Bench agreeing to suppress her name in the meantime.

The home of Mr W. J. Ewant, Dartmoor Avenue, Westown, was entered on Tuesday night, and a number of household articios, including cups, spoons, bacon, sugar and eggs, were stolen.
