ITALY'S TURN.
To Complain Of Bombing Of Hospital.
COMPLAINT AGA,!N3T ABYSSINIANS.
Press Association—^oayrisrht. London, April 7
Reports of the Ashangi battle from the front show that the Emperor Haile Selassie during the first 36 hours remained at headquarters directing the defence, says an AJdis Ababa message. Then, finding that the Italians were outclassing and outnumbering his troops, he went to the front with an Imperial Guard machine-gun detachment and remained two days without sleep, handling a machine-gun.
The Rome correspondent of the Dai'.y Mail says the Italians are swiftly pressing the pursuit, and have entered Cor bo within 100 miles of Dessie. A luxurious black limousine, believed to be the Emperor's, was captured by Askari flying columns after they had attacked and routed an isolated detachment cf the Imperial guard south of Quoram, says an Asmara message. Italian aeroplanes afterwards bombed two motor-cars moving southwards along the main Dessie Road.
The official spokesman at Rome indicated the fact that an Italian delegation was going to Geneva could not be interpreted as a suggestion that the military pressure was being relaxed in Abyssinia. On the contrary, the operations will continue, whatever happens in Europe. The Italians are going to Geneva only to attend the Locarno meeting. Italy has protested that Abyssinian artillery bombarded an Italian field hospital on March 30, causing heavy casualties.
