London, Jan. 23 King Edward VIII was not proclaimed at Dublin, says the Daily Telegraph’s correspondent. It is understood the Free State Government’s view is that a formal proclamation is unnecessary as the Governor-General on the assumption of office swore allegiance to “King George, his heirs and successors.” As King George’s heir is now the King it is considered the original oath entirely meets the situation. Mr. Dulanty, the Free State High Commissioner at London, did not attend the Accession Council on January 21. The Daily Telegraph says he communicated with Dublin before the Council met and received certain iastructions An official of the High Commissioner’s office explained that "Mr. Dulanty takes orders from Dublin.”
