ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting ol the Cardiff Cricket Club, when Mr Horn was elected chairman, therei was an attendance of over 20. The balance-sheet disclosed a credit of over £4. Commenting* upon this,) the cnainnan remarked that it was. very creditable considering the club bad been formed so late in the season and had then had to purchase all necessary material. He thanked the members for the ready manner in which they had paid their subscriptions. for this had enabled the committee to purchase) materials without, delay. One item which had gjreatly augmented the funds was the dance, and in respect to this he particularly wished to thank the ladies who had so willingly assisted in cooking and arranging the supper. Members who had lent their cars had also helped the finances of the club, for this had eliminated on of the) chief avenues of expenditure. The meeting heartily endorsed the chairman’s remarks and a vote of thanks was passed to the ladies and the car owners. The election of officers resulted. President, Mr P. Horn; vice-pm-sidents, Messrs C. Hawker., A. J. Smith. L. Redshaw, T. Richards, A. Bennett, jun.; captain, Mr C. Hawkes vic-captain, Mr H. Millar. For the. keen interest taken in the dub during its first season Mr A. C. Smith was unanimously elected a life member. The following were elected to the committee; Messrs L. Redshaw, R. Huckster, S. Hancock, J. Sexton and S. Waklyn. It was decided that the purchase of matting be left in the hands of the committee with power to act. The question of laying a pitch was held in abeyance until final arrangements in respect to the grounds had been made. Practices are to commence at an early date 1 so that members may have opportunities of improving before matches; begin. It was u'nanimously agreed that matches be arranged rn lines similar *o those ruling last year.
