ATTACK ON M. VENEZELOS

Capture of Some Assailants Press Association.—Con•■f’eht. London, Sept. 10. The Athens correspondent of the Manchester Guardian says the police captured Fritzalas, alleged driver of the car on the occasion of the attempted assassination of M. Venizelos on June 7, also the ex-police sergeant Fasoulas and the brigand Karathanassi. Another member of the gang escaped. The captured men will be charged with murder and attempted murder. The attack was made while M. Veni- ► elos was motoring with his wife. M. Venizelos seized his wife and fell to the floor of the car in an attempt to save her. His wife suffered bullet wounds and the chauffeur was fatally shot.
